Mother’s Day is when the tables turn. It’s our time to shine… though perhaps with less-than-stellar planning skills. Just me? Well, whether you’re a seasoned planner or a procrastinator, we’ve got you covered with a cheat list. We’ve got options to suit every type of mom (or maternal figure) in your life, from the mimosa-lover to the pinkie-up-it’s-tea-time mom.

Mother’s Day Buffets

It’s bottomless brunch at ARC with an array of tasting plates featuring crepes, toast, and eggs Benedict including specials made from Chef Adam Middleton’s family’s favorite recipes—a rhubarb-crumble twist on their famous Ooey Gooey skillet, as well as grilled asparagus with béarnaise sauce.

Price: $79 per person, $39 per child from ages 6-12
When: May 14, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm

Coast’s diverse menu offering will delight any seafood lover with freshly shucked oysters from the chill bar, tiger prawns, seafood paella and other traditional brunch offerings. The carving station offers herb-rubbed Canadian prime striploin and whole Atlantic lobsters. Save room for dessert, with signature mini banana butter cakes and triple chocolate layer cakes as the perfect sweet endings.

Glowbal is back with their popular Mother’s Day brunch where you can enjoy a variety of delectable dishes. Their brunch buffet includes chilled seafood, made-to-order omelettes, a beef carving station, and classic brunch favourites such as eggs Benedict, pork banger sausages, double-smoked bacon, waffles, pancakes, and more.

Price: $85 per person, $30 per child ages 2-12

H2 Kitchen + Bar’s Mother’s Day buffet highlights curated local charcuterie board, brioche French toast, pan-seared wild salmon and lingcod medallions, assorted dim sum, Peking duck and a sushi display. For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert station is not to be missed—tarts, bite-sized petit-fours, red velvet cheesecake, chocolate trifle and more. You can also choose from a selection of well-priced $45 bottles of wine, creative cocktails, or B.C. craft beers. It’s a family affair with chef-manned action stations and kid-friendly offerings.

Trattoria’s brunch buffet offers a range of gourmet pastries and bread, classic and prawns eggs Benedict, Italian meatballs, focaccia pizzas, and seafood risotto. Enjoy a carving station, an as-you-like-it pancake station and house-made desserts. Mothers receive a complimentary glass of prosecco upon arrival.

Price: $48 per person and $24 for kids 10 and under.
